Aluminum Conductor 25KV URD cable is primary used for underground distribution, in direct burial or installed in conduit. 25KV URD cable is suitable for use in wet or dry locations. URD cable is to be used at 15,000 volts or less and not to exceed 90°C temperature in normal use.

aluminum conductor per ASTM.
Aluminum Conductor 25KV URD cable has an extruded thermoset semiconducting shield, which is free
stripping from the conductor and bonded to the insulation.
Aluminum Conductor 25KV URD cable has naturally high dielectric strength TR-XLPE insulation. There is
also extruded thermoset semiconducting insulation shield. Optional EPR insulation is available upon request.
Aluminum Conductor 25KV URD cable has a concentric neutral shield consisting of solid bare copper wires
helically applied and uniformly spaced over the insulation shield.
Aluminum Conductor 25KV URD cable has a black jacket of linear lows density polyethylene (LDPE), which is sunlight, abrasion and heat resistant. The jacket has 3 red stripes, the NESC lightning bolt and sequential footage markings.

Aluminum 25KV Cable has a full neutral 133% metallic shield. It has a tough Tree-Retardant Polyethylene insulation which is cross linked and is shielded. Aluminum Cable is jacketed with the linear low density polyethylene.

Aluminum Conductor cable is made of compressed and concentrically stranded 1350 aluminum series. This cable has seven strands of conductors which are soft drawn and malleable; they are shielded with an extruded semi-conducting thermoset that offers free stripping from the conductor.
The high dielectric TR-XLPE is semiconducting hence ensuring that the handler is not exposed to electrocution when handling the cable. It is black color coded for identification. Tree-Retardant Cross Linked Polyethylene is flame retardant, corrosive resistance and abrasive resistance making it the ideal choice for rocky underground installations.

Solid stranded copper wires are helically applied round the TR-XLPE insulation to improve the service life and electrical transmission.
This is the outer surface of the Aluminum 25KV Conductor cable which is made of LLDPE that is protective from the punishing environmental conditions.
