350-3 Type G-GC Portable Power and Mining Cable

350-3 type G-GC portable power cable is a reliable black mining cable with a conductor, insulation and jacket. The conductor is made of fully annealed stranded bare copper. The insulation on the other hand is made of Ethylene Propylene while the jacket is made of Chlorinated Propylene (CPE). The insulation and the jacket work to protect the conductor from chemical and physical damage. The cable is water and oil resistant and is able to operate optimally even in harsh working conditions.     350-3 type G-GC cable is fitted with 3 conductors all which are colored differently. The cable comes in yellow, green and red colors. The green is for the ground and has been rated 2#2 while the yellow is for the ground check and has been rated #8. Each conductor has been made of fully annealed stranded bare copper conductors. The copper stranding has been annealed and stranded in order to make the conductor flexible, foldable and malleable. The conductor stranding is 532/24 allowing it to fit into circuits ducts without a problem. The cable size is 4/0 AWG but can be used for a wide variety of activities as its size ranges from 8 AWG to 500 MCM. The copper stranding has been constructed as per the stipulations of the ASTM B 174 standard.


    The insulation of the 350-3 type G-GC cable aims to fully protect the copper conductor from all sorts of damage so as to ascertain that the conductor continues to work properly regardless of the withstanding conditions. The insulation material is Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM). This is a synthetic rubber material with excellent features to protect the conductor. It is oil, water, sunlight and chemical resistant. The insulation has also been well formulated to also ensure the end user does not get electrocuted during operations.


    The jacket of the 350-3 type G-GC cable is black in color and is the outer most part of the cable. It houses both the conductor and the insulation. The jacket also protects the conductor and protects the insulation from all kinds of damage. It has been constructed with chlorinated polyethylene (CPE). CPE is the most ideal jacket material as it is known to produce a special compound during combustion making it not to self ignite. This is a great safety feature. The premium grade jacket is resistant to oil, water, chemicals, abrasion and ozone. It is flexible and sturdy. The insulation together with the jacket work to ensure the cable is impact resistant as huge impacts are a common phenomenon in the areas of applications of the 350-3 type G-GC cable.
