Construction

Conductors:

This lead wire conductor is a tinned copper conductor. Tinning is the process of coating copper wires with a thin layer of tin through electrolysis, whereby electric current is passed over the electrolyte containing copper and tin. Tinned copper conductors offer a superb electrical transmission because they are durable and do not succumb to corrosion by the industrial chemicals and salts.

Insulation:

Reinforced insulation is provided by a black PVC jacket, which is sunlight-resistant, per ICEA S-97-682 and UL Standard 1072.

Specifications:

  • AWG (Stranding): 8 (133/29)
  • Insulation Thickness (mils): 60
  • Nominal O.D. (inches): 0.282
  • Weight (lbs/1000 ft): 77.1
