SEOOW Portable Power Cable is a service electrical cable that is profound for its resistance to oil, water, and weather. SEOOW is used in power facilities, motor control, remote control, industrial control, stage equipment, robotic systems, portable industrial machinery, and food processing facilities. SEOOW Portable Power Cable is suitable both for indoor and outdoor use. It is also suitable for water submersion. Construction:
Conductor:
Conductors are made of fully annealed stranded bare copper with a Class K stranding per ASTM B 174. When there are two conductors, it is black and white in color, for three conductors, there is an extra green wire, an extra red is added for four conductors. For five conductors, an extra orange wire is added as the fifth conductor. Conductors are resistant to corrosion and moisture. They are also durable and reliable in the transmission of electric current.
Insulation:
T*prene® Oil resistant Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) with a color-coding for easy identification. The main feature of the insulation is its excellent resistance to oil.
Jacket:
Flexible and tough seoprene jacket with excellent resistance to chemical and physical damage, zone, sunlight, moisture, chemicals, acids, flames, alkalis, and weather.

The SEOOW type wire has extremely flexible cordage that is suitable for use in the wiring of heavy industrial machinery, washing machines, heavy duty vehicles, tools and temporary lighting and wiring for construction sites. Due to its flexibility and light weight nature, it is able to work efficiently in moving machines and in areas where bending and twisting is required. The wire is accepted for use by Article 400 and other supporting articles of the National electrical code of 2014.
The SEOOW has a class 36 thermoplastic elastomer ensuring it is tensile, able to be easily maneuvered in limited fitting space safely. This particular feature ensures the ire does not break at the slightest tension applied to it. It has a black class 36 jacket which is 0.060 inches in thickness ensuring that the power within is kept safe from the harsh conditions surrounding the wire. It is very hard for this wire to suffer from direct impact or be uncovered by friction against hard surfaces during installation. This makes it suitable for use in machines and areas in which high movement is anticipated.
The wire has a nominal insulation thickness of 0.050 inches capable of having a temperature as high as 105°C and as low as -50°C. This temperature range is sufficient for use on construction sites that are in both weather extremes and also use machines that produce a high temperature. The wire has a water and oil resistant jacket making it suitable in washing machines and engine wiring where the cabling might come into contact with liquids. For companies building juice and mineral packaging factories, where a lot of cable water interaction is expected, this is the right cable for use in this environment.
The cable is lightweight and non-marking having good flexibility and excellent moulding characteristics. The use of the cable does not in any way significantly affect the weight of the machine or equipment in which it has been used. This is in addition to its ease in being fitted into the tiny space available. This effectively reduces the bulkiness of machines, equipment and factories. The cable is UL listed and CSA certified for indoor and outdoor use (18-10AWG) and UL flexible cord subject 62. It is also CSA certified.
The cable 8/4 SEOOW is 0.740 inches in diameter and 400lbs per 1000ft and as an allowable ampacity of 90C. They are suitable for use in dry locations and wet locations or other applications may be completely immersed in water, when exposed to oil or coolant temperatures not to exceed 60°c. These cables are ideal for flex operations in harsh environments where the highest degree of oil resistance and service are essential. The cable is manufactured using bare flexible stranded class K copper conductors. They have cable has 4 conductors which are color coded for easy identification. The cable is also fully recyclable and non-hazardous for environmental landfill disposal.
The cable is also suitable for use in push button remote controls motor control, stage equipment and lighting systems.
