Alpha Wire Multi conductor 150V Flat cable Communication control Industrial cable

Alpha Wire Communication cable is reinforced with tough materials hence it can withstand even the most punishing environments. However it is meant for light weight applications since it has voltage of 150 volts. The alpha wire 150V communication cable is designed to withstand harsh temperatures since it can operate in temperatures between -200C and 1050C in both wet and dry environments respectively.

Conductors

Stranded tinned copper is the conductor used in this cable. Copper can easily transmit large amounts of current in a short period of time that is why it is the most preferred material. The conductor is also flexible which makes it easy to transport and work with.

Insulation

The conductor of any electrical cable should be insulated for safety measures. The insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is resistant to flames, sunlight, moisture, corrosion and abrasion.

Shield

It is made of aluminum polyester and tinned copper braid. The shield prevents electromagnetic waves from interfering with the normal operation of the cable; it also acts as an added reinforcement from mechanical damage.

Cable jacket

The whole construction of the cable is covered by a black PVC jacket. The main aim of the jacket is to protect the internal components of the cable from damage. It is a tough material and can withstand harsh environments.
