AAC – All Aluminum Conductor is primarily used for overhead transmission and distribution services, where strength of standard ACSR cables is not required. Class AA for bare conductors used in overhead lines. Class A for conductors to be covered with weather-resistant materials and for bare conductors where greater flexibility are required.
AAC conductor is a concentric lay stranded conductor consisting of Aluminum Alloy 1350-H19 wires. AAC cables are available in both single layer and multi-layer constructions

AAC refers to All Aluminum Conductor. The cable has an ampacity based on 75 degrees Celsius conducting temperature, 250C ambient and 0.5 coefficients of emission and absorption. This is a quality cable which is in line with all the required International Standards.
Standards and Approvals
AAC Cable has three code words; phlox, canna, arbutius and jessanine. Type phlox measures 3/0 AWG with a nominal cross sectional area of 84.91mm2 and a nominal weight of 234.4kg/km. Canna measures 397.5AWG by 202.1mm2 and 55.4kg/km. Arbutius is size 795AWG and 402.9mm2 with a nominal weight of 1110.6kg/km. Jessanine is the largest at 1750 AWG by 885.8mm2 with a totalling weight of 2445.1kg/km.
Aluminum 1350-H19 wires are flexible and lightweight making them easy to install. The cable is available in single and multiple layers.
