Telcoflex III Central Office Power Wire
Telcoflex is extensively used for office power transmission not exceeding 600 volts. It can function in a wide range of temperatures whereby it operates at 1050C in dry locations and 600C for wet environments. On this post ill share with you some of the amazing features of the telcoflex office cable.
The telcoflex office cable components comprises of a sturdy insulator and an efficient conductor.
The conductor is the core of the cable and it is responsible for power transmission. When selecting the perfect material for this job the manufacturers ensure the material is able to transmit lots of electric current with ease. The material used in this case is class B stranded tinned copper in accordance to ASTM B-33. Copper is used due to its amazing electrical properties. Stranding enhances its flexibility hence it is easily installed in constricted areas. This is important because its installation environment may have lots of bends and corners.
An opaque Mylar tape is applied over the conductor which allows easy stripping.
Insulation is a very vital part in any cable or wire. Without the insulation many shock or fire related incidents may occur. It also protects the conductor from external damage. The insulation of the Telcoflex office cable has a limiting oxygen index of 35%. It is rated to function at 900C and resistant to smoke, flames, halogens, impact, abrasion, chemicals and acids.
