How is Exane VFD Power Cable Armored constructed?
Power conductors are made of annealed, flexible tinned Copper Conductors per ASTM B33, B172, UL 1309 & CSA C22.2 No. 245, colored dark gray, red and blue. Three segmented grounding conductors colored green are provided. Insulation over conductors is with Exane® (Irradiation Cross-Linked Polyolefin). Over insulation comes Jacket which is made of black, heavy duty, Arctic Grade Neoprene. Fillers are provided with fibrillated Polypropylene to reduce air gap and maintain a uniform cross section. Overall Shielding of the cable is done with Tinned Copper Braid with Aluminum/Polyester Laminating Tape for 100% coverage. Armor is with braided bronze, Tinned Copper or Aluminum available upon request. Also the Sheath is black heavy duty Arctic Grade Neoprene.
