Hook Up Wire UL 1061

This UL 1061 Hook up Wire is a dual purpose power cable which is desired to perform in either wet or dry environmental locations. It is made of stranded copper conductors which are flexible and lightweight, which are coated by a moisture resistant polyvinyl chloride for chemical and mechanical protection.

Conductor

It is designed with a wide copper conductor size of 26 AWG through 16 AWG. The size of the conductor dictates the application and the type of installation the cable will use, as well as its totaling weight; the bigger the conductor the higher the electrical resistivity. Copper has good electrical properties which improve the voltage distribution of the Hook up Wire UL 1061 Cable, as it will not succumb to deformations like creeping easily. However, they are also tinned for maximum performance.

Tinning reduces friction build up as it makes the surface of the conductors smooth. This offers free strip from the insulation, reducing the termination time during installation.
