Machine Tool Wire UL 1007/1569 300V
Machine tool wire is a special wire which may be used in a wide range of electric circuits especially in internal wiring of electronic equipment and appliances due to its distinct properties. This wire is also stranded and of varying lengths depending on the consumer’s needs. Some are of 500ft while others 1000ft and with bulky reels. The wire is also available in different colors making internal wiring of appliances easy. The general cable design incorporates a conductor, an insulation and jacket as explained briefly below.
The machine wire conductor is made of stranded tinned copper. Stranding makes the wire flexible, so that it can withstand flexing and folding during operation and transportation without developing lines of weakness or suffering wear and tear. Copper is a very good conductor but tinning it gives it a plus. Tin-plating increases the durability of the conductor by reducing the rate of corrosion. Tinning also makes the wire more effective for use in marine environment and highly humid areas.
This conductor effectively transmits electricity of up to 300volts and within a temperature range of -400C and 1500C.
This tinned copper conductor is insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The PVC is preferred for insulation because it is a thermoplastic material which is highly versatile. Besides, the PVC is a long chain hydrocarbon giving it high resistance to UV rays, chemicals and water, another advantage for marine use.
This cable is available to customers in their preferred colors such as;White, Red, Green, Blue, Gray, Orange, Yellow, Purple and Brown.
