Low Voltage Multi Conductor Stranded Tinned Copper PVC Jacket Twinaxial Cable

This is a low voltage power cable which is designed and manufacture to perform in both wet and dry locations. It is designed with copper conductor and a draining wire which is tinned for maximum performance. The cable is insulated with Polyprophelene (PPE), shielded with aluminum foil and jacketed with PVC.

• Conductor

The cable measures 22 AWG through 2 AWG (American Wire Gauge) and doesn’t exceed 500 feet long. It is made of tinned and stranded copper conductors as per ASTM B3 and B33 standards. Tinning is the process of coating the conductors with a thin layer of metal in the presence of electricity to make them oxidative resistant and smooth. This will protect the conductors from corrosion by the corrosive industrial chemicals. Smooth conductors are not prone to friction build-ups. Stranding the conductors improves flexibility aspect of the cable.

• Compliance

Low Voltage Multi-conductor Cable meets all the necessary requirements of International Laboratory standards which include:

a) Flame Test 4
b) National Engineers Code (NEC)
c) MSHA Acceptable
d) ASTM B3
e) ASTM B33

• Insulation

Polyprophelene (PPE) which is white color coded insulates the two conductors individually. This is to enhance electrical conductivity of the conductors by preventing any contacts between them, which would lead to power blows and faults. PPE insulation is non-conducting and offers an additional chemical and mechanical protection hence improving the service life of the cable.

• Shielding

Aluminum or polyester with a 25% overlap is used to wrap the conductor and the draining wire. Shielding helps in maintaining the circular phase identification of the cable, as it hold the conductors together preventing them from collapsing.

• Jacket

This is the outer layer of the Low Voltage Multi-Conductor Cable that is black color coded for easy identification. It is made of tough Polyvinyl Chloride which offers a great protection to the cable form the punishing environmental conditions. PVC is non-biodegradable and will not succumb to fungal attacks under direct burial installations, and resists water and flames. These will improve the durability of the cable and also ensures the safety of the user is not infringed as it doesn’t conduct electric current.

Applications

a) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
b) Broadcasting interconnecting cable
c) Computer wirings
d) Data transmission cable
