Application:

Appropriate for all situations of corrosive environments in power circuits up to 5,000V when installed in open air, conduit, and duct, cable tray when CT rated, in wet and dry locations. Main uses are for chemical plants, refineries, steel mills, industrial plants, commercial buildings, utility substations and generating stations. National Electric Code permitted for use at 90°C for continuous operation, 130°C for emergency overload conditions, and 250°C for short circuit conditions.

It can also be installed in conduits, ducts, cable trays and open air if CT rated in both wet and dry locations. Its main uses as hinted earlier are in chemical plants, industrial plants, refineries and commercial buildings. In addition this cable also works very well in a wide range of temperatures whereby its normal continuous operating temperature is at 90 degrees Celsius, however if can still functions to temperatures up to 130 degrees Celsius for emergency overload conditions and 250 degrees Celsius in case of a short circuit.

    When it comes to the cable’s construction, the conductor is made from copper. Copper building wire is the most preferred metal for this purpose since it has amazing electrical properties hence it can be able to transmit large amounts of electricity and at a faster rate compared to other metals. On top of the conductor is a semi-conducting shield that protects the conductor from external forces that may cause damage to the cable.
