Moreover, you will find that the conductors are easily separated from each other with the use of specialized separators which in no way decrease the performance of the cord the way jute and paper will do.
What are the main features of the SJTOW Portable Cord 300V?
The SJTOW is for applications that use 300V as the cord is marked to be “Service Junior”. In case there is no “J” then the cord is for use for 600V applications. The “T” stands for the material that is used for the jacket which is Thermoplastic in this case. The single “O” denotes oil resistance for the outer jacket alone and not for the insulation. The “W” makes the cord resistant to water and weather conditions.
What are the typical environments where I can use this plastic cord?
Generally people use plastic cords such as the SJTOW where you need oil resistance. However, today plastic cords are used in places where you need chemical resistance and abrasion protection as well.
