SEOOW is a special type of SOOW cable. SEOOW is an initial for;

SEOOW are portable and flexible cables with good mechanical strength that can survive in the harshest of environments. The cable is fitted with a class-K stranded copper conductor of size, 30AWG. The conductors are then fitted with Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) insulator which is known for their good mechanical strength and resistance to oil. Since the cable has multiple conductors, a jacket is needed. The Jacket is also made from TPE.

SEOOW Multi-conductor Control cable is made of a Class K stranded, fully annealed Copper conductor. Copper wire has the best electrical conductivity since its outermost energy level is partially filled therefore giving more room for electrons to carry more electric current at a fast speed. Copper on the other hand has high thermal conductivity a property that enables it to dissipate excess heat that builds up in the system due to the high power that is transmitted in the system.
The high tensile strength and excellent creep resistance of copper gives it a strong connection that do not easily break or loosen during or after installation. Copper also has high ductility therefore easily drawn into the required diameter, its high ductility also makes installation easier because no special tool will be needed to bend, twist, strip or terminate it when installing.
The cable is very flexible since the wires are stranded. High flexibility enables easy twisting of the wire, folding, unfolding and bending the wire to fit into cable trays during transportation and ducts during installation without breaking.
Annealing the conductor involves heat treatment that changes the chemical and physical properties of the wire to make it more ductile, hard and flexible.
SEOOW Multi-conductor Control cable insulated with class 36 TPE material. TPE is an organic polymer which is a synthetic rubber in nature. Being rubber, it has excellent mechanical strength that can resist abrasion, sunlight, ozone, chemicals and oil therefore promising a longer life of service.
The insulators are color-coded differently ranging from white, green, black, red or even yellow depending on the number of conductor. The different color codes are put in place to ensure accuracy during installation.
Insulating copper with the zero-conductor, TPE helps to prevent electrocution to the user and fire accidents that arise due to exposure of current-carrying naked conductor.
A jacket often acts as the exterior shell of the cable; it unites all the cabled conductors together. SEOOW Multi-conductor Control cable is fitted with a TPE external jacket. TPE, a synthetic rubber has good mechanical strength which serves as the base line for defense against abrasion, corrosion and the harsh environmental conditions, whether physical or chemical that might interfere with the conductors.
The jacketing material is easy to strip during application since a tissue paper separation is always fitted around the conductors making the jacket easy to remove.
This TPE used for both insulation and jacketing is non-hazardous to the environment since it can easily be recycled for use multiple times.
The jacket is also a plus to the durability of the cable since it can withstand extremely harsh environmental conditions like high temperatures.
SEOOW Multi-conductor Control cable has a wide temperature range of between -500C to 1050C, a range of 1550C. This temperature range is applicable in both wet and dry areas.
