Aluminum Bare Transmission ACSR, AAC, AAAC
Aluminum Bare Transmission cables are designed and manufactured for power distributions. Read More
ACSR Standards and Approvals
The solid central steel core is walled by one or more concentric strands of Aluminum alloy 1350 layers. Zinc coating protects the wire from corrosion.
AAC Standards and Approvals
1350 Aluminum series are helically wrapped round the central wire, whereby each layer has six strands more than the previous underlying layer.
AAAC Standards and Approvals
Bare Aluminum alloyed conductors of 6201 series are helically wrapped round the central wire
Features
Aluminum 1350-H19 series conductors are soft and flexible hence easy to carry and install. Aluminum has a high electrical carrying capacity and this explains why it is a preferred choice for long distance power distribution. It is also lightweight as compared to heavy copper cables making it cost effective as it is not labour intensive.
The high density polyethylene and cross linked polyethylene layers offers a superb chemical and mechanical protection to the cable, improving the service life and electrical conductivity. This layer also keeps the user safe from electric shocks. It is colour coded for easy identification.
Applications
These cables are used in primary and secondary overhead power distributions.
