15KV UL Type MV-90, 90°C Single Conductor, Sheilded,
XLP Insulation, PVC Jacket
100% Insulation Level, Copper Conductor
Appropriate for all situations of corrosive environments in power circuits up to 15,000V when installed in open air, conduit, and duct, cable tray when CT rated, in wet and dry locations. Main uses are for chemical plants, refineries, steel mills, industrial plants, commercial buildings, utility substations and generating stations. National Electric Code permitted for use at 90°C for continuous operation, 130°C for emergency overload conditions, and 250°C for short circuit conditions.
Has a semi-conducting conductor shield, with a compacted soft bare annealed copper per ASTM B-3, Class B stranding per ASTM B-8 (compressed) or ASTM B-496.
Ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) per ICEA S-97-682.
Shielding wires meet ICEA standards.
Sunlight-resistant PVC per ICEA S-97-682 and UL Standard 1072.
This is another power cable which is suitable for distribution of 15000 voltage power to various utility units. The cable has a sturdy and reliable insulation system thus good for any harsh and extreme demanding applications. Here are some of its features
A single conductor cable, which means it is not to be used for three or more phase power distribution. The conductor used is a soft bare and annealed copper with a semi conducting shield. The conductors are designed as either stranded or compressed according to the ASTM B-496.
XLP insulation provides a versatile protection to the cable conductors. The insulation for Type UL MV90 Single Conductor Cable is made of ethylene propylene rubber (EPR). Insulation material is strong and human friendly; its design is top notch as per ICEA S-97-682
The sunlight PVC jacket offers a reliable protection for this cable. It is only at Nassau National Cable where you can get cables which are thoroughly manufactured with top most protective features according to UL Standard 1072.
A shielding wire which this cable is made with improves its efficiency.
The cable is mainly for use in the industrial plants such as chemical plants, steel mills and refineries. Due to its extra tough and mechanical strength, the cable fits for wiring in the commercial buildings. As we mentioned earlier, the cable is fit for 15Kv utility systems that is why it is applied in the generation stations and utility substations.
National Electric Code approves the continuous operation of this cable at 900C. In cases of emergency like overload conditions, the cable can operate at 1300C and 2500C during short circuits. This shows how flexible and tolerant the product is for uncertainties that can befall your system operations.
