48 Fiber Optic Strand Indoor Multimode OM3 Riser Tight Buffered Cable

Also Known As:

48-Core OM3 Indoor Cable, 48-Strand Multimode Indoor Fiber Cable, Tight-Buffered 58-Fiber Indoor Cable, Riser 48-Strand OM3 Fiber Optic Cable, 48-Fiber Indoor MMF (Multimode Fiber) OM3 Cable, OM3 48-Core Riser Rated Cable, 48-Strand Indoor Data Fiber Cable OM3, Indoor 48-Fiber Tight Buffer Multimode Cable, OM3 48-Core Building Backbone Cable, 48-Fiber Riser Multimode Tight-Buffered Cable

About 48 Multimode Fiber Optic Cable:

This multimode fiber optic cable is specifically designed for indoor use. Multimode fiber allows multiple modes (or paths) of light to propagate through the fiber at once. This typically allows for higher data rates over short distances compared to single-mode fiber, which is designed for long-distance transmission.

OM3 is a specific type of multimode fiber optimized for laser-based equipment that can run at 10 Gbit/s. Tight buffered cables are perfect for indoor applications because they're easier to terminate and connect directly to equipment.

144 color-coded 900 μm tight buffered fibers into a single flame retardant cable. This cable design is available in both riser rated and plenum rated versions for deployment in any inside plant re-code application. The UV-resistant outer jacket, coupled with dry water blocking technology, addresses environmental concerns for outdoor use. The tight buffered distribution cable supports standard installation practices and may be easily terminated using established eld connectorization methods.

48 Multimode Fiber Optic Cable Features:

- 900 μm tight buffered fibers designed to support rapid field termination
- Industry standard color coding for quick, error-free fiber identification
- Single-Unit designs provide space savings and cost advantages
- Subunit construction improves organization and termination practices
- Available with bend-insensitive single-mode and multimode optical fibers
- Flexible, flame-retardant and UV-stable outer jacket
- Optional Interlock Armor provides robust protection and supports one-step installation
- Supports all high performance networks including OM4/10 Gigabit Ethernet systems

48 Multimode Fiber Optic Cable Applications:

The cable is designed for variety of indoor applications, including:

Data Centers & Server Farms: The 144-fiber count facilitates dense interconnections between servers, switches, and storage devices. This cable is suitable for large data centers that require high-speed data transfer and redundancy.

Backhaul Networks: It can serve as the primary conduit for telecom providers, linking cellular towers to the main network, especially in urban areas with high user density.

Campus & Corporate Networks: Universities, research institutions, and large corporate campuses can utilize this cable to interconnect various buildings, data centers, and facilities.

High-Resolution Video Broadcasting: For TV stations, media hubs, or live broadcasting centers where multiple high-definition or even 4K/8K video feeds need to be transmitted simultaneously.

Healthcare & Medical Facilities: Hospitals, diagnostic centers, and research facilities that rely on real-time transmission of large data sets, like MRI scans or genomic data, can benefit from its high capacity.

Financial & Trading Institutions: In places where real-time data transmission is crucial, such as stock exchanges, the cable ensures minimal latency.

Public Infrastructure & Smart Cities: For traffic management, public surveillance, and smart grid management in urban settings.

Undersea Cable Links: Although specialized undersea cables are used for deep-water applications, this cable's design might suit shallow water inter-island links or lakeside connections.

Municipal & Government Networks: Local governments can use it to interconnect departments, facilitate community broadband networks, or centralize surveillance systems.

Research & Supercomputing Facilities: Where immense data streams need to be moved quickly, such as in particle physics experiments or climate simulations.
